Deities are the seven beings that reign over the Pacific Island. Each one has several statues scattered across the island which the player can donate coins to. If the player donates enough coins to a particular deity, that deity will become pleased.
Pleased deities will bless chests with their coins or curse enemies to be much weaker. Enraged deities who have been ignored will power up enemies and make them far stronger.
Over the course of the run, the player can choose to donate exclusively to one deity or donate to them all. If the player donates to one deity, their coins will become very common and the player can strategize around them. But if the player donates equally to all deities, they will all remain pleased and the player will fight weaker enemies.
