Status effects are temporary conditions that can be caused by coins, traits, items or granted by deities to enemies. Most have a short duration, but a few are permenant. If the player has a status effect outside of battle and they enter an unexplored room, that status effect's duration will drop by one.

Damage Up[]

Damage Up Status The target will deal additional damage when attacking. The strength of this status ranges from a 25% boost to an uncapped limit. 100% is double damage, 200% is triple damage, etc.

Damage Down[]

Shield[]

Shield Status If the target is attacked, their shield will absorb the damage. Shields are affected by passive damage like poison and changes in the target's defense stat. All shields slowly degrade over time.

Defense Down[]

Defense Down Status When attacked, the target takes more damage than normal. At -100%, the target takes double damage.

Cast Speed Up[]

Cast Speed Up Status The target can cast coins more quickly. +100% is double cast speed, +200% is triple cast speed, etc.

Regeneration Status The target will recover 1 health every few beats. Generally, this status effect will last longer and heal more quickly than poison.

Heal Block[]

Poison[]

Poison Status The target takes 1 damage every few beats. If the target has a shield, that will take damage instead.

Hand Size Up[]

Hand Size Up Status The player can temporarily hold more coins. Regardless of the displayed increase, the largest a player's hand can be is 6. Has no effect for enemies.

Redraw Speed Up[]

Redraw Speed Up Status The player can redraw coins more quickly. Has no effect for enemies, classes with instant redraw or classes with no redraw.

Stack Chance Up[]

Stack Chance Up Status The player has a higher chance of drawing stacks of coins. Has has no effect for enemies.

Stack Power Up[]

Stack Power Up Status If the player draws a stack of coins, it will be even stronger than the sum of its parts. A stack of three Aztec Pennies may deal 10 damage, for instance. Has no effect for enemies.

Coin Nullify[]

Coin Nullify Status The next coin used on the target will have no effect. This includes positive effects such as healing or shielding.
